I'm monitoring the WB network here in Raleigh and heard their reporting on the story about Stolen Honor. I'm sure it's the same around the country.
Here are my notes.
- Stolen Honor is stealing attention away from the election and onto Sinclair. [paraphrase]
- labeled it a "Post vietnam documentary".
- Mark Hyman. This program doesn't even exist, may just be two or three clips. [then how do they know there's anything to broadcast?]
- Reported that Kerry advisor made a threat. Got response from (?) Greenwood, Repub. Rep from Penn, saying shame on the person who said. this.
- Sinclair researched most of the POW's in the documentary and most of them are not fans of Bush, they supported Perot or McCain. [nothing about their believability]
- Then they stated the underlying premise of the effects of Kerry's testemony of the POWs. Basically, stated the thesis of the smear. No attempt at deciding if it's true or not.
- They announced that their poll from yesterday, "Should we show the documentary?" yielded 68% No 32% yes
